With increasing urbanisation, there has been an ever-increasing need of education in all strata of society. The competition to acquire the basic comforts of life has added to the zeal of gaining knowledge for various job requirements. This struggle is more tedious for the rural youth. Despite the rapid modernisation any sort of progress seems difficult without proper creation of environment for effective pastoral care and support.
History
In the year 2000, Shri Jarnail Singh stepped forward by establishing S.K. Public School commemorated to his mother Smt.Shyam Kaur to fulfill the dire needs and wishes of the multitudes residing in this remote Tarai Region. He had the vision of providing quality education to the children with this co-educational English Medium institution having state of the art infrastructure facilities.
S.K Public School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Since its inception on 9th April 2000 with mere 205 students the institution has grown manifolds over the years and the race is still on.
School Profile
S.K Public School is committed to provide education with an emphasis on overall development of the students. The school has approximately 1,000 students on its rolls. The notion for an overall development of each child is nurtured by the loving care and dedicated task of a talented and an experienced staff. Following the divine principle that Knowledge is Power , the devoted staff provides high quality education by imparting moral and civic sense to the children. The co-operation of parents will surely help us to light up a life by removing the evil of ignorance and lighting up the lamp of education in this privileged institution.
